About the Author:
Jim Sher is an astrological counselor and teacher who began working with astrology, metaphysics and esoteric philosophy in the 1970s. He founded the Sher Institute of Astrology & Metaphysics in 2000, offering students a holistic, multi-disciplinary curriculum leading to advancements in consciousness. With a Master’s in Social Work and post-graduate training in Jungian theory and practice, Jim has extensive experience in counseling clients through life’s greatest challenges, including trauma and addiction. As a veteran counselor, he recognized that astrology was a more accurate tool than any psychological test for understanding his clients better and determining the best treatment approaches. After his position as the first Executive Director of Kepler College, the first degree-granting astrology college in the U.S., Jim moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and established a thriving astrological counseling practice before founding the Sher Institute.
